MAD One (2018)
Not a lot of wines can be considered to be ultra-premium, but MAD One can claim the title comfortably. The finest Furmint from the highest-quality grands crus of Mád village, multi-layered, deep and complex in taste, it represents the finest expression of the Furmint variety, born out of the characteristically mineral volcanic terroir of the region. A truly extraordinary wine which can also appeal to wine collectors, thanks to its extremely long ageing potential. As a side note, MAD Wine recommends that this wine be left to age in the bottle for at least three years after it has been bottles.

Sommelier’s Notes: The ultimate expression of dry Furmint. Multi-layered, having been aged for 10 months in oak barrels giving off wooden notes and toasted bread aromas, combined with all the aromatic characteristics of Furmint and the minerality in taste thanks to the terroir of Mád. Recommended pairings for this wine include roasted meat, ideally game or lamb.
